Not much to see. A lot to climb. Free to enter. Lots of wild turtles.

There isn't really much left to see here. It's worth getting while being nearby because it's about 7km from the main Side - Antalya road. It's marked well so it's not a problem to get here. The place can be viewed for free.

21 June 2020 I am in Silyon Ancient City. The city on a hill overlooking the environment is almost destroyed. Traveling is a bit troublesome. You can go up the hill by following the paths. Admission is free. A place for those who are interested in history to see.nTRANSPORTATIONnTurn north from approximately 35 km of Antalya-Alanya highway and 8 km. then Sillyon is reached. The city was built on an ellipse-shaped plateau, standing high on a flat plain, like a table from the plain. It has a completely dominant position in the environment. The field of view extends to the Mediterranean.nHISTORYnBC IV. It was believed that it was founded after the Troia war in the 16th century. Helen lived during the Roman and Byzantine periods, it was also used during the Seljuk period and was further enriched with new buildings.nSillyon, the center of psychosis in the Byzantine period, also lived in the Seljuk period. The slightly sloping west direction of the hill is surrounded by walls from the Hellenistic Ages.

The historical site from the Hellenistic period (Alexander the Great was here) is unfortunately difficult to reach. The place is well signposted today, but there is no parking lot and you have to climb a mountain through rough terrain past cows, goats and turkeys. Once you have done that, you will be rewarded with great ruins and a great view of the grounds below. Unfortunately, there are only a few explanatory signs.
