Hasankeyf Castle is one of the touristic sites of the historic Hasankeyf township. This town hosted about 10 kingdoms and empires, thus hold great histories. It lies by the Tigris river and currently is under the threat of disappearing beneath the river due to fast increasing water levels. The city is being moved therefore to a new settlement.
