Aşağı Pınar Açık Hava Müzesi

As in other mound excavations, the removal of the structures in the upper layers after documenting, in order to reach deeper layers, makes it difficult to show the building remains representing different layers in a holistic manner. The current situation shows that displaying the archaeological remains on site by taking protection measures is not enough for Aşağı Pınar. For this reason, different applications were included together when preparing the open air museum project.nnVillage Animation: Village environment created with traditional buildings. The structures in this unit are also used as exhibition buildings. Three buildings were completed and opened to visitors (A).nnTime Tunnel: An exhibition where the history of Kırklareli region from geological periods to the Early Republic Period is introduced. Its construction has started (A4).nnNeolithic Village: Re-enactment of the 6th layer settlement in situ and in full scale. The application project is completed (B).nnIndoor Display: Displaying some of the archaeological remains by covering them with a protection roof. Application project has been done (A9).nnNatural Environment Environment: The arrangement made in the southwest of the protected area to revive the natural environment of the period. Some of the wild animal models have been made and the arrangement of the area has started (F).nnEducation Area: A unit where students of different age groups will learn and try archaeological excavation and documentation procedures. Complete (E).nnExperimental Archeology Area: The unit where experimental archeology studies will take place. It has been designed and implemented.

We hope that such places will be kept open for longer periods during the year and for those who would like to visit the city center, we will be guided by signs.

The quality of its tea and the fact that it is constantly being refreshed already tells everything, having a garden behind it and an ideal place with its airy, cool and friendly service.
