Located in Ortakapi Neighborhood, Konak was built in the first quarter of the 19th century and is one of the Ottoman period buildings. In 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War (93 War), Army Commander Gazi Ahmet Muhtar Pasha was used as Headquarters for a time.
