Iznik Museum

Thousands of years of history and this museum is nearly empty apart from a handful of displays regarding Izniks history of ceramic arts. The building, a 14th century imaret, has been well restored. Some of the Roman sarcophagi in the garden are quite beautiful.

It was a great archaeological museum before. Then, they converted it into an islamic art museum. Inside there's almost nothing about islamic art. Just some plastic displays and new, fake objects. I strongly recommend people not to visit this building ( I can't call this building as museum anymore)

It is a small museum with its exibition. Cheap ticket and a good exibition.

This can't see. Unfortunately, there digging, but we may have another opportunity.

It is closed, but 3 ud83cudf1f for being able to walk around the outside of the building that contains many old Greek ruins. The building is beautiful. The guard said it would be at least 2 years before the museum opens again to the public.
