For someone from Douliu like me, it's kind of inconvenient (it takes about 30 minutes drive to get to the station). I tried to wait for the cab once when I arrived at 9ish pm, no cab after 20 minutes wait; I took the bus instead, and then missed my stop since the driver didn't notify the passengers at all and didn't slow down for a tiny bit. Eventually, I got off at somewhere that's in the middle of nowhere and had to ask my family to come to pick me up. In other words, taking the HSR helped me save nearly 2 hours of time for my trip and then made me waste more than 1.5 hours on trying to get back to Douliu. Terrible.
