Taichung has a lot of malls and almost all the malls have the same pros and cons. Good stuff, high quality service, air-con, wise variety of choices. But also bad parking and traffic.

Mia Cucina is still a favorite restaurant after one year! All fresh and delicious dishes!

Too crowded for a weekend, but you can easily find anything you need

We passed by this mall as we were staying at a nearby hotel. Everything is generally higher quality hence more expensive. There is a good mix of shops here with a grocery store in the basement. There is also some snack and food court in the basement. The soya sauce chicken rice was pretty good. The bubble tea store was popular and so was the green tea ice cream store. Cannot comment on the parking as i did not drive here.
