It turns out that this humble little station still has a sad past.nThe conflict between the national army and the people of Taiwan that occurred at Badu Station in March 1947 was one of the constituent events of the February 28th Incident. In the incident, a soldier drowned in a military-civilian conflict on March 1.nOn March 11, Director Shi Guohua of the Fortress of Australia (a relative of Fortress Commander Shi Hongxi) led more than 30 soldiers to the Badu Station and surrounded it upon arrival, killing station crews Zhang Shuilian, Deng Shunjian, Tang Zhenping, Xie Qingfeng, Chen Jingqi, etc. 5 people. Subsequently, the stationmaster Li Danxiu, deputy stationmaster Su Shuimu, Xu Chaozong, Huang Qingjiang and Zhou Chunxian (General Affairs), Wang Guiliang (Secretary), Liao Minghua (Secretary), Su Liangcheng (operator), who were on duty on March 1 were named. Lin Tianzhu (operator) and Lin Huilong (operator, father-son relationship with the former) were escorted away.nThese people never returned home, and it is said that they were all shot at Shiqiuling.nAnother station clerk, Xu Jianshan, was not on duty on March 11 and was forcibly taken away near Batu. As a result, his hands were tied back by iron wires and his body was floating in Keelung Port.
