Howard Plaza Hotel Kaohsiung

Hotel room and breakfast really good. Hotel room is five star standard. Gym not so grand but okay. Two running threads and has good views on sunset. No TV available. Bring your own phone and ear phone if u like. Swimming pool available but no sauna.

Hotel was very big and grand. The breakfast buffet was very good. The mattress was way too soft, when you lie in it you just sink in. The shabu shabu was very tasty but a little too expensive.nThe swimming pool was very nice with a kiddie pool and a large pool. But when I was there, the jacuzzi was freezing. Overall this hotel is not the worst or not the best. It is pretty high quality.

The Peking duck was a delight. All of the other items served during lunch were delicious and satisfying. A classic restaurant in Kaohsiung.

Clean hotel, friendly staff BUT sadly you needed metal teeth to eat the breakfast bacon, hard as a rock during the both times we ate breakfast.nnExpected much, much better from this supposedly 5 star hotel.nnThe buffet was adequate for the money of 430nt a person but the hotel failed to inform us that the ice cream would be at an extra cost of 49nt if adults wanted to eat it, free for kids though.nnSadly there wasn't many meat choices for the buffet, however....IF you were a vegetarian then you'd have been very happy.nnApart from this, we enjoyed our stay.
