Lakeshore Hotel Hsinchu Lakeside Pavilion

Loved the hotel. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the pool more than we expected. Everything was slightly smaller than I thought from the pictures, but it was more than enough to keep our little one happy. The lady who took care of the other play area with the ball pit was nice and the guys in the pool weren't bad, but they made the 5 minute announcement in Chinese and came over in English to tell us to leave. I mentioned that I understand the Chinese announcement and he made an excuse about it being only 3 minutes left. Everyone spoke a surprising amount of English and our room was very nice.

The rooms and facilities in the main building is very dated. Breakfast selection is more Asian focused than Western. Lunch buffet has a great variety of food - the sashimi and seafood spread is perfect d’or seafood lovers.nnThe great service makes up for the old dates rooms. The newer building that houses the gym, pool, and kids club is more modern and nice. Love the hot tub spa! I recommend request to stay in that building. For kids, this hotel is pure heaven!

Really nice resort.nPerfect for families as there are many facilities and event suitable for kids.nSwimming pool is great.nJust one negative thing was the room. No bed for the kid... Really weird. Only a long size bed.

Edit1: Lakeshore Management reached out to us to further understand the situation that occurred at their resort. I have to praise their dedication towards customer service and providing better quality stay in the future. Their management contacted my wife and I several times to make sure we weren’t left dissatisfied. I’m glad they have such a wonderful management that cares about the guests and has taken our concerns wholeheartedly. Thank you for your customer services. I’d rate their customer service a 10/5 *s.nnWe decided to stay at this hotel for its rating from others and it’s services. To begin, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. But, if you’re expecting to have quality food or even a good night rest, avoid staying at this hotel. As we were going to sleep at 10pm, we could hear other guests washing their hands. The water running was nonstop. In addition, at about midnight we were listening to another family below us singing happy birthday, and possibly around 2am, a baby had fallen out of their crib and cried nonstop. We recorded all of this and notified the front desk. For the price tag and rating this hotel has. we expected more than what we got and were extremely disappointed. The guest services tried to rectify the situation with a gift of popcorn. Also, the breakfast provided tasted fresh out of a fridge since it was so cold in the room, only warm/hot dish was the coffee. Even that tasted low quality. So to receive a gift of popcorn only shows the true value of our family trip in the new year to this hotel organization.

We had a really great time at this place. If you have kids bring them and their friends. Our kids could play forever in the play area. Most hotels play rooms seem like an afterthought. Not Lakeshore! The swimming pool was great for a relaxing session too.nnFood in the buffet was up to par even though there weren't a ton of choices.nnOur room was actually quite far. We had to walk a bit to get to the facilities but it was a nice room. It was big and spacious with a big window and view of the trees.nnWould highly recommend this place to those with small kids. I will definitely be back.
