The village is famous for its house paintings. The paintings are original but they should not shadow the equally interesting inner streets, which look very traditional and ancient. There is certainly a lot of cultural and architectural interest in this village. As for the paintings, personally, I felt confused to know which streets I had to walk to see them all. But the one I found, never disappointed me. It's also specially designed to be enjoyed with family, friends or as a couple because most paintings invite you to strike a pose while you partner take a picture.

Beautiful street art which takes you throughout the streets of an old neighbourhood where you'll see people air drying shrimps and fishes. Quite a nice and relaxing walk and experience, as you are not faced with any storefronts wanting to sell you stuff as with other tourist places, and you can truly experience rural Taiwanese neighbourhood and lifestyles.
