Ran into this place while wondering around as usual. Very memorable since it's a piece of timeless history. It's stands out in importance for it's grandure and uniqueness. Like the temple like design and architecture. Built when the city was still being populated and founded. A must see for it's design and stature. You should make plans to see it if your in town.
The actual gate has long been destroyed to make room for Modern Taipei. All that remains is a (very) small replica of the original gate, which is not much to look at.

This is one of the busiest intersection in Ximen area, you can find a big Karaoke house right next to it. It wouldn't hurt just to take a look.
