Half-sided Well

The well is half inside the house and half outside, so it can be shared with more people. If wealthy families in the past were more generous, this would be become an attraction!

This is one of the historical sites in Lukang, the Half-sided Well as suppose to be a demonstration of charity, as the owner of the property have place half of the well behold their wall, allowing the poor who does not have have the resources to dig their own well to have access to fresh water.
