Fu Din Wang

Friendly service, English translated menu, very delicious food. Portions small yet satisfying. They set the standards high for pork knuckle here

In my humble opinion the lu rou fan from Fu Din Wang (富鼎旺) is better tasting than the Formosa Chang's version. The pork knuckle is their signature dish and well deservedly so as the skin texture is bouncy yet easy to bite through. The winter melon soup is light and refreshing. The braising liquid is also tasty with rice. Both the braised tofu and braised eggs are good side dishes to the rice. We didn't eat there but have the food packed to go. Delicious

We had waiting time of 10 minutes before getting a table for lunch. Their famous pork knuckles were a bit different than my expectation. No cold beverages were available for purchase. Cutlery and sauces are self-serving. Friendly staffs who barely spoke English helped us nonetheless to choose from a menu. I would revisit this please for the next trip.

Their signature Braised Pork Knuckle (鼎旺猪脚) @ NT$80. The pork knuckle had been cut into easy to eat portions, perfect for sharing as well. For a complete meal, they will also have a serving of Lu Rou Fan (鲁肉饭) @ NT$25. Most of the toppings are made of pork fat with pieces of meat. We ordered their Boiled Vegetables, Braised Tofu and Daikon Soup as well.

Really tender pork knuckles, rice and noodle dishes are good too and they do have English menu which is really helpful.
