The East 3 gate is not quite clean and tidy, when on the weekend. They are a lot of people sit down on the floor. Even some illegal stalls and beggars outside the gate. What a shame!

An entrance to the Taipei main station on the ground used to be the final stop of long-way coaches. As these have all assembled in the bus station, now it has changed to be a pick-up or drop-off area for passengers for taxi or other vehicles. There are some booths on the curbside for shelter of bad weather. Some vagrants might rest around in night, so the environment is not very good. Leave here quickly if you arrive by night!

Massive station area that connects to all of: the high speed rail line, multiple metro (MRT) lines and the airport express trains. Bus lines and taxi pickup areas are plentiful as well. Has plenty of open areas, shops and good restaurants as well. On top of this the station is loaded with lockers, and has several public restrooms.
