Dynasty Hotel

This is one of the best hotels at this price point in Tainan. Convenient city center location and rooms with international standards of cleanliness and comfort, however there was a constant humming noise coming from the AC or the elevators that took some getting used to. The self service laundry on the roof had a nice view and was convenient but you do have to pay to use it. Most importantly the wifi was fast and stable!

Business room is nice. I got a room on the 12 floor with view of city. My room was clean and face back so no traffic noise. Hotel is nice and clean and staff is friendly.nnAir conditioning is a bit noisy and windows doesn’t open. Bed is a little bit hard for me. WiFi is slow

This is a very nice hotel! It is very close to the center and the train station which makes life easier for the tourists. Shops and markets are also very close to the hotel. The staff is nice and polite and speaks excellent English. They even open the door for you at the main entrance. The hotel has bikes which is very cool. It is nice to bike around Tainan. The room is very nice and clean. The bed is clean, comfortable and the blanket is just warm enough. My room was facing towards the rising sun which made it warm in the morning but the AC quickly brought down the temperatures to normal. However, the AC just a little bit loud. Other noises are negligible, even the traffic on the streets. The bathroom is just big enough. It is very clean and it has all the things you might need. The bath tub has a shower curtain, so you won't mess up the whole bathroom while showering. There is a fridge in the room. It is a bit loud when it turns on but its okay. TV is good with many channels. What I didn't like is the tap in the bathroom. The water comes out in a weird manner and the pressure is just too high. It is difficult to use the tap without getting everything wet. Another thing is that despite the fact that smoking is prohibited, you can clearly smell the smell of the cigarettes. The hotel should step up strongly against smokers. And finally, they should put a bit more effort in the breakfast. The orange juice is not a real orange juice for example. Otherwise the other foods are good. But $200 (2020.01.21) is a bit too high for what they give. Maybe with real juice and some other options (Taiwanese sausages for example) the $200 would be acceptable.

Everything was correct, but a lot of things could be better.nnDespite the fact that smoking seems to be forbidden in the rooms, someone had obviously smoked in ours. The room was bright thanks to the big windows, but (for reasons of security I guess), it was impossible to open them. The bottom of the bathtub was a bit yellow, which is not very appealing, and the sink tap was weird. The water comes through 6 or 8 small holes, which makes the pressure rather high. It's really a challenge to wash one's hand without getting wet as well! The ventilation system works well but the low power is actually the only one we could tolerate (it is already pretty strong).nnWith regard to the service, the breakfast was fine, but you can easily find something way better outside and very close to the hotel. The soy milk is probably made with powder, the orange juice is of course not fresh (it's more like a non-sparkling lemonade), and although you have several options for the food, nothing really stood out and made us smile in the morning. The best part for us was actually the watermelon. Otherwise, the room is cleaned everyday and the goods are renewed as well (toothbrush+toothpaste, bottle of water, etc.).
