Chiayi Station

The big and old station downtown with many platforms. Many local trains, either southbound or northbound, terminate here, so it is usually crowded with mass of passengers. There is a roundabout at the front for picking up visitors and the bus station of the city is right at the rear of the station, and it is easy to transit from the station. This train station has nice route and fair public facility though looking old. It has been a landmark here in Chiayi!

Its a station to get started for your awesome nature relationship.. like going to alishan... this station is the first step to go there.. the information desk never let you down...

really love how the old-design station could work really well this day. It is medium size, but very integrated! You can find railway platform, inter-city bus, intra-city bus, taxi, and ubike.

Tourist information counter is helpful. Ticket window in front of station for Alishan Railway opens at 8 am - you can also buy tickets for the following morning’s sunrise train. Family Mart in station has good snacks for breakfast, etc.
