Kaoping River Old Iron Bridge

A very tranquil riverside park. Not overly developed. Still retains an authentic countryside feel. A nice escape from the busy city life. Spend an afternoon there, and you'll walk away refreshed.

Cool, retrofitted bridge from the Japanese era that was the longest iron bridge during its time. The base was destroyed 3 times by Taiwan’s typhoons, but always rebuilt for the public. Free entrance and large open field with bike paths. Try Taiwan’s famous tea tree eggs sold by the parks’ vendors. They add the area’s local grown pineapple (skin) to the broth to make the egg soft and chewy (QQ)

A very pleasant park area. The bridge is interesting and cool to see. The view is lovely, especially with the setting sun. There are some bike trails/paths and pleasant places to be. Not a lot of activities other than what you can do in an open field.

Old railroad bridge over the river. Railroad no longer in service. The place has been turned into a tourist spot where you can get a good view above the river.
