Most beautiful temple in Taiwan. The scale is perfect, the detail is magnificent, the color of wood and stone are amazing! Masterpiece. However, the florescent light kills a good design. Very unfortunate. Nonetheless, it’s a awesome temple still.

Sacred place with crowded people. Great historical atmosphere and vigorous at the same time through hundreds of years. Nice wishing pool that we have a target to throw to. Too crowded, and smoky

The Lukang Tianhou Temple is located in Lukang Township, Changhua. The temple is dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess Mazu and it is one of the most famous Mazu temples. It is well known for its magnificent and ancient architectural structure, making it a treasure trove of craftsmanship.

The temple is one of national historic sites. It the first Mazu temple, which built in the 16th century in Taiwan. This is my second time visit it. The Lunar New Year holiday was a terribly busy week here.
