Qinghe Bridge

This is actually my favourite spot in Yilan. I can't believe no traveling blogs write about this. The Yilan River is a historic waterway that's crucial to the development of the region. The surface of Qinghe bridge is for vehicles only - no sideways at all. But they mounted beams and walkways underneath the bridge for pedestrians. The construction is absolutely safe but it obviously is an afterthought, which makes it 100x better coz it gives the walkway a hidden quality. There's a viewing deck in the middle of the river. That's the best spot to watch the sunset. I can't stress how awesome this hidden gem is.

There is pedestrian walkway built as a hanging structure next to the flyover, and swings under the flyover. Good use of space.

Interesting bridge, pedestrians and vehicles are separated, there are swings under the bridge to sit on

There are leisure activities under the bridge, you can bring children to swing
