Alishan National Forest Recreation Area

A place for nature lovers. We enjoyed our trek here during winter. It was a refreshing experience to have witnessed this beauty. The walking paths were well paved and the place was fully developed. Even the elderly can do the trails if you visit on your own and have no tour to catch. Will definitely go back if we can as we missed the forest train experience.

Convenient place to teach your kids about nature. They provide an amazing hiking track. A hiking track that me as an Indonesian would never dream about ud83dude06 and if you don't want to walk, you can ride your car or take a train! This train will take you straight up with incredibly amazing view of the forest and cherry blossom.. (i didn't take this train tho). And it's affordable for students. They will give discount for entrance ticket by showing your student ID and bus ticket stub..ud83dude01ud83dude01

A very lovely place, full of giant and tall cypress trees, beautiful sakura tree, and greenery scenery during summer,autumn and winter while pink and white scenery during the spring. I went there this winter and its so spectacular. If you want to visit here book ahead train tickets and hotels at least 2 months before the trip. Highly recommended

Alishan National Forest Recreation Area is a place not to miss out when you visit Taiwan! This place is so peaceful with greenery, river flow and lake. You will witness sea of clouds in this area as well along the way to the national park. Just take note that during monsoon season, this place is a bit hard to access.

We took the little train up the mountain in anticipation of seeing the sunrise. Though we were unable to see it because of the mist, the experience was great. Fresh air, fantastic giant tree of over hundreds years of age and the lovely little train. Don't miss it in your next trip to Taiwan.
