Hotai Rental Taipei Station

Conveniently located at Taipei Main Station. Tarifs are ok. We got a car with a lot of mileage but in good state. We could communicate with a basic Mandarin, not sure we would have been understood in English. At pickup, the staff was kind and lead us to the parking, explaining how we could let the car there overnight. On the return, same staff but less sympathetic. Strangely, he asked us 80 NTD for some mysterious « highway toll ». We didn’t understand and didn’t argue.

The staff in this branch has very bad service and impatient. They did not give clear instruction on how to return car and blame the customer for parking too far from the carpark entrance. When they service you, they will answer enquiry phone calls and let you wait. Recommend not to return your car to this store.

Rent car here few times, seeing they are improving their services here.

Good services, I actually left a jacket when I return, and they contacted me few times for it.

Very bad service, hard to use online reservation, customer service cannot speak english. Unless you have local friend help u make a reservation. Otherwise just use other car rental.
