Wufeng Lin Family Garden

The private land and mansion of a major family in central Taiwan is open to the public. This big place preservers the old traditional building of Taiwan, including the embellishment and construction repaired from earthquake. Here the beauty of the conventional building can be seen.nA guided tour is provided for group visitors. Introduction in details about the history and meaning of each item are told during the tour. It is recommended to join a guided tour for better understanding.

Was very surprised to see such an interesting and historically significant place like this, especially since I've never really heard of it. Tour guide told us this is the largest mansion complex in all of Taiwan, and it even includes original painted corridors from the Qing Dynasty, something you're hard-pressed to find in mainland China, where most original sites were destroyed during the cultural revolution. Definitely recommend this site!

Very impressive and beautiful attraction. The garden and the architecture is grand and magnificant. Must visit if you are in Taichung, just avoid come during summer time as you'll spend a lot of time under the sun during guided tour. Also there are very limited parking spaces and you must inform the reception before they'll let you in the vistor's parking area.

It's a beautiful ancestral home for one the oldest families in the city. They're actually related to the other Lin family ancestral home in Banqiao of New Taipei City. Interestingly, they distinctly differ in gate ticket collection..
