Xiangshan Confucius Temple: Founded in the 27th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty in 1901, the Xiangshan Sinology Academy was established during the Japanese occupation. The Confucius Temple was worshipped by Miaoli County. The Confucius Temple was held every year on Teachers ’Day. The hand, with its exquisite beauty in the simple shape, the elephant on the front porch beam and the sculpture of the flying phoenix, corresponding to the legend of the pictographic mountain and the phoenix cave here, are unique in each temple in Taiwan. In front of the two rivers-Houlong River and Shahe River meander through, Zuogu Mountain Ai Laowei, Moyan Mountain, Right Qishan-Zhongjian Mountain, Longjingtan, Qigu are arranged in a row, they are rare rare mountain shrines. In the early days of the Confucius Temple, there were four books and five scriptures by professors of the Sinology Academy of Xiangshan. The style of writing has not fallen. The twilight morning clock wakes up the world.
=======================
The Confucius Temple in Xiangshan was founded in the 27th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (AD 1901). It was initiated by the squires Tang Tong, Hu Lanxiu, Hu Azhen, Peng Jinxiang, etc. In the early days, the place was named Henggang Huamao Ping. Xiangshan. During the initial period, three Caoan Temples were built to enshrine the Lord of Three Graces, which was the Jade Heng Palace-Dadong Temple.
At that time, at the beginning of the Japanese occupation, there were many out-of-school children in the mountains and local people of insight, so they created the [Xianshan Sinology Academy] to honor the Supreme Holy Master and extend the teaching of the Four Books and Five Classics. Sinology is on fire. At the end of the Japanese occupation, the Japanese suppressed the Tao and promoted the Buddha. The Yuheng Palace was also affected. Later it was renamed Confucius Temple.
After the restoration of Taiwan, the poet Mo Ke gathered to chant, creating a poetry society, striking together with chanting, and writing style. The place where the Confucius Temple is located, because of the high terrain, the horizon is extremely broad, looking from the west, the flat fields and green fields of the Miaoli Basin have a magnificent panoramic view. Every year on Teachers' Day, all circles in Miaoli County hold a memorial ceremony for Confuciuses in order to show respect for the Most Holy Teacher. The temple building is made by the famous architect Mr. Xie Yunde. The simple shape with delicate beauty. The elephants and flying phoenix sculptures in the front porch reflect the pictographic mountain range and the legend of the phoenix cave. It is unique in Taiwan ’s temple architecture. There are folklorists and teachers and students from the Department of Architecture.
The reason why he came here is not because of the Confucian Temple, but for the desolate democratic heroes memorial park nearby.
It is hard to imagine such a Confucian temple, which is located in the alleys of Miaoli Village, but the hinterland around the Confucian Temple is not small, and there are parking spaces, no matter whether you follow the rules or love to park randomly.
I've been with the scale of the Confucius Temple of Confucius compared Taoyuan be a small point, but the overall maintenance of Chinese architecture very well suited as background pictures, the whole environment such as a park, as well as some art statue due now or seven in the morning So very quiet. In addition to the Confucian Temple, there are also Democracy Heroes Park and Yuheng Palace.
Xiangshan Confucius Temple is a unique Confucius Temple. The general Confucius Temples are officially run, but the Xiangshan Confucius Temple was founded and managed by the people. Built in the 27th year of Guangxu Emperor Guangxu (1901), the Xiangshan Confucius Temple was formerly known as the Yuheng Palace dedicated to the Jade Emperor. In the Japanese era, the Japanese government promoted Japanese education, and the local officially established the "Xiangshan Academy" in Yuheng Palace. "Teach sinology, and enshrine here to Confucius."

Quiet and solemn, paying tribute to the Most Holy Master
Worshipful and respectable venerable people are worth worshipping! The location is quiet, and you can bring your middle school students to worship when you arrive at the head house!
