Kaohsiung 85 Observatory

Observatory was closed sunday 27 december don't know why

Went at 5pm on a Sunday and there were very few people. Even some comfy chairs to sit and look out from. Also had a nice volunteer tour guide to talk to us.

Fantastic view. You can see the sea, port, and city. a must-visit spot in Kaohsiung. Great both at day time and night time!

Very beautiful view, you have to go at least once if you are in Kaohsiung, you can see the whole city.

My own take is this is not really that special. I would have skipped this if I'm pressed for time and opt to visit other places like the trendy Xinkujiang uff08新堀江商圈uff09shopping district. Perhaps it's because I've been to other observatory decks like SkyPoint at Gold Coast Australia which offer nicer views; even Bangkok's Baiyoke Tower is better in terms of the amenities - my personal opinion.
