駁二藝術特區 The Pier2 Art Center

Simply bursting with creative energy, this sprawling quayside area has done an amazing job of merging the industrial look-and-feel of the old buildings with a myriad of dynamic and awe-inspiring art works, from cute to serious, from minute to gigantic. Be prepared to walk long and far, but expect to be rewarded with a rich palette of experiences. Kids will find plenty of things to do as well. Never boring, always welcoming, this place puts KS firmly on the map as a must-see destination in Taiwan.

Great cultural location with cute stores, a leisurely park, as well as plenty of port scenery. Kids will love it. Many restaurants to choose from, ice cream, cafes, an imposing movable bridge, and the tram of course for quick and easy traveling to and fro. Also check out the free pineapple cake and tea within the area, which is great for a small break. Even with one group of warehouses recently burned down, still plenty to visit and enjoy.

Easy to get to by subway. Lots of cool art, murals and colorful paintings. Came here on the weekend and place was fairly busy, lots of families with their kids. Still no hassle to take some photos, check out all the art pieces and stroll around a morning long. From here you can go to the pier to take the ferry to Cijin Island. Combining the two places you'll be able to pretty much fill the whole day with activities.

Activities information is available on the official website. Nice markets on weekens, new public transportation and nearby sites are easy to enjoy for tourists. There are many pubs, restaurants, and hotels here. Sites include Kaohsiung Film Archive, E-sport Arena, Kaohsiung Music Center, Kaohsiung Main Public Library, and Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. Maybe you can find a lot more activities than you expect.

Great place to spend the day exercising, walking, or hanging out with family and friends. There are lots of neat things in the shops. The view is also fantastic.
