The old city neighborhoods are always my favorite destinations when I travel and Tainan's old districts are the best. Taiwan's night markets are world famous for the food scene but in my opinion old markets like this have much better local food and atmosphere. This market does get super crowded on the weekends but the quiet side streets are much more interesting anyway.

One of my favorite places in Tainan where you can find various kinds of street food! You do not want to miss it!

Plenty delicious street food, some are distinct you can only find the taste in this place.

Fabulous market should be on every tourists plan. Local foods, friendly locals a really bustling place. Will definelty be going again.

The chaos on the streets is incredible, nothing compared to the food hidden within however.
