If i could give 0 stars i would. Tienmu branch Fx manager, old man with glasses receding hairline and frizzy hair- you are a disgrace to Bank of Taiwan’s good reputation. Instead of trying to help, you hid, told your staff to leave you alone, and finally you threw the cheque in front of me with one hand and told me “whatever reason the other banks rejected this cheque, use the same reason for us.” One big difference, the other banks are private, you represent our national bank. I am so ashamed that you represent my nation’s bank. I came in with a cheque from the EU tax refund agency, and i was told that Bank of Taiwan would be my only place to go to cash in this cheque. WARNING TO PEOPLE TRAVELING TO EUROPE- apparently now no banks in Taiwan accept EUR cheques, and Bank of Taiwan will only accept it if you’ve had an account with them for over 6 months. No one will help you make a call or find alternative solutions- there are none.
