Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area

They got tourist information here (with a fancy building). Else, none special.

Water is low in winter but the view is still good. Parking is ridiculously expensive and the space is tiny. Recommend going on weekdays.

: The place is amazing, especially during sunny day, watching the sunset while sipping a cup of coffee, munching some biscuits and chatting with your good friends or the love of your life, you can say this place is truly a piece of heaven on earth.! There's a huge a playground where you may bring your kids and pets to bond a time too.!

It was really nice to ride a bicycle around the lake. The bikeway is clearly indicated and the road is fairly easy. Bike rental is pretty cheap if you know how to negotiate. The lake is stunning and really popular with local tourists, so expect the place to be crowded. The Sun Moon Lake is easy to access as well, just need to take a bus (Near the Taichung train station), they are owned by privates companies, but they run often and the price was correct for the country.
