Walking through Heping Island Park you encounter a tall fisherman statue. The historical monument honours the fishermen who died during the 228 (February 28) incident in 1947. Moreover, spot offers a truly fascinating view of the seaside and Heping Islands special rock formations. From there you can easily continue walking to Hepingdao Lookout.

The monument that you will pass when you walk to the radar station for coffee, behind you is the sea. Maybe it was rainy or I was careless. I didn't find the text description on the spot, which is a pity.
