The Wen Wan Resort

The top hotel in Sun moon lake area. My experience was Family trip to the hotel with a new born baby. Stayed at executive room (行館套房）, which was nicely decorated with a beautiful view of sun moon lake. Infinity pool is also a great place to chill at. The dinner was an average Chinese diner dining and the breakfast was buffet style which was above average. Due to Covid-19,the hotel has shorten the opening hour of pool and the air conditioning was not working at observatory. But to be fair, there were not much of tourists and we enjoyed emptiness of the hotel.

Staying this hotel for Christmas vacation. Nice location, but poor breakfast and housekeeping.

Booked 3 nights. Stayed only 1. The hotel has been deserted. - no service. no cars. no transportation. - no food or no bar during the day. - no spa. Have to ask to open the swimming pool - loud karaoke music downstairs (bye bye the quiet view on the lake) - zero service except front desk. Pretty sure only 3 people work here. - staff doesn't speak english and is exceptionally slow - lame amenities We are so frustrated. Seriously, trust the reviews saying the service is bad. It really is.

Stayed at Lalu and yunpin before and now this. Definitely the worst experience compared to other two. Entered the hotel at 5pm and waited for almost an hour because the room “still wasn’t ready”. No one greets you at the lobby. No one shows you the way to the car park or help you with the luggage. You gotta do all that yourself. Definitely not recommend.

The room facilities are top class. Room is very spacious with very comfortable atmosphere. Due to shortage of man power, the service people are multi-functional. The mini bar in the executive suite are included in the room rate. We stayed two nights, the dinner dishes were 90% the same. The shower water temperatures are not consistent. Some room was too hot, some room was too cold. Countdown Fireworks can been seen from the Lake View Rooms Balcony. Gold plated Washlet and sink are used in Executive Suite. Swimming pool and spa facilities are in top floor. Overall experience is very pleasant.
