The church in the village was first mentioned in the documents of 1507. By 1780 the parish was in the hands of the Basilians, who had a monastery here. In 1759 he received the privilege of the Polish King Augustus. The existing church was built in the place of the oldest in 1800 (shamyamis are served in 1801 or 1802). In 1890, on the day of the Three Saints, a new iconostasis dedicated to the deacon and teacher of Theodore Petrik was dedicated.
