An Italian Baroque monument in Galicia is the Church of the Exaltation and St. Joseph in Pidhirtsi. It was built thanks to the foundation and with the personal participation of Hetman Vaclav Zhevusky. The church is the result of the work of architect Romanus and sculptors: the German Fessinger and the Frenchman LeBlanc. Polish and Galician masters from Lviv and Zhovkva worked on the interior decoration. The famous painter Shimon Chekhovych laid his hand on the altar, and the local carpenter Twardowski worked on the carving of the choirs and the pulpit.

Beautiful, not typical for central Ukraine, as in Poland. Near the Catholic mission and the market with a small petting zoo. Worth seeing.
