The bell tower was named after the father of former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma. It so happened that Ivan Nikolaevich's son became seriously ill. He turned to the head of state for help, but was refused. Mr. Suslov tried to get to Leonid Danilovich through security, but failed. Kuchma learned about this unfortunate incident, and soon such life-saving medicine was delivered directly from Germany. Therefore Ivan Nikolaevich decided to erect a bell tower and to name it after the name of the father of the benefactor. The building is decorated on four sides with statues of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called, Princess Olga, Prince Vladimir the Great and St. Theodosius of Pechersk.

random temple complex in the village. Buki was founded in 2000 at the expense of Skvir businessman I. Suslov according to the project of arch. Yu. Babich. The dominant feature of the complex is the Church of St. Eugene the Great Martyr with five gilded baths. During the construction of the temple, the historical canons of Ukrainian architecture were combined with modern architectural forms. The complex also includes the chapels of St. Alexander and St. Nicholas, the bell tower of St. Daniel. In 2007, the temple complex in Buki was awarded the State Prize in Architecture. In 2008, the National Bank of Ukraine issued a jubilee silver coin with a face value of UAH 10, which depicts the church of St. Eugene in Buki. In 2011, a fountain of Friendship of Peoples was opened on the square in front of the church. It used to stand on Independence Square in Kyiv.
