Armenian Church

The Armenian Church (built in 1686–1706) is the oldest surviving building in the town of Horodenka, a monument of Armenian architecture. After the city received the Magdeburg right in 1668, Armenians began to actively move here. They traded in and around the city for over a hundred years. The Armenian church built in 1706 became a symbol of the presence of a wealthy Armenian community in the city. The courtyard of the temple was quite large, with an Armenian cemetery on its territory. The temple and its courtyard were surrounded by a high wall with a beautiful gate. The temple from the outside is quite ascetic and not very elegant building.
