The church was built in 1763 for the Greek Catholic community of Horodenka. The author of the project is a famous architect Bernard Meretin. The iconostasis of the church is very similar to the iconostasis of St. George's Cathedral in Lviv and is one of Pinzel's creative heritage. The church is crowned not with a cross, but with the Potocki coat of arms similar to it - "Pilawa". According to the folk "Song of Bondarivna", the church was built as a manifestation of the penance of a Polish magnate for the murder of a girl from neighboring Chernyatyn - Bondarivna. The church has an icon of the Blessed Virgin, which from time to time myrrh.

Built in 1763. The author of the project of the church, as well as the project of the monastery temple, was Bernard Meretin (late XVII - 1759) - architect of German origin.
