Tserkva Presvyatoyi Triytsi

The church was built on the highest mountain of the village - Castle Hill, where once stood a castle surrounded by moats with water. However, this is not the first shrine in this place: before there was a church, which was moved from Mount Ladivka. A wooden church was built from 1905 to 1907. In Soviet times, the authorities were unable to close the church due to resistance from the local population. Chortovets is most famous for the unique ritual dance of the Serben, which has always been performed on Easter and Leading Sunday around the Church of St. Nicholas and the brick church of the Holy Trinity (1790). Serbena can only be "walked" by men holding hands and performing the ancient words of the song.
