Hello everyone, I want to share with you my disappointment about the St. Victorian Church in Mirnograd (Dmitrov), which is located in the 40th quarter. Yesterday I baptized my daughter there, I went in to find out the prices in advance. In general, at first they announced to me that it would cost 650 UAH. Here is the list I was given: Kryzhma (this is with us) Receipt 350 UAH (although I personally have not been given any receipt) Baptism certificate Candles Book Icon Cross (30-60 UAH) And now, in more detail, when I came to agree and draw up, she first tried to shove me an icon for 170 UAH and a book (they give the Gospel) for 120, I immediately refused the X because the godmother bought it for us. I am a single mother, so I don’t have any extra money, I asked to look for her smaller icon (she suggested approximately the size of A4 sheet), she said that they didn’t have others, the same story with the book. In general, I said that she would only count candles, a testimony and a receipt for me, and I would look for a book and an icon in another church, she would immediately start, like they say in another church ?! And then I immediately found a smaller icon (for 125 UAH) and a cheaper book (for 80 UAH), apparently I was very afraid that I would take the money to another church. As a result, everything went for 500 UAH. Initially agreed at 13:00. The day before the baptism, they called me moved at 12:00, okay, these are trifles. It’s already the day of baptism, they called me at the beginning of 12 and asked to come as soon as possible, but I didn’t have time, so I immediately refused. At half we were already in the courtyard of the church, we decided to take a picture right away and then come in, as we were asked to arrive without 15 minutes. And then this woman (grandmother) flies out and almost yells at us, they say all later, you’ve already been waiting for you, let's quickly take shape! And this is all very rude! Then we were brought into this room, all in a hurry, we were urged: let's get faster, undress the child, etc. The priest has already begun to read prayers, this woman comes in the middle of the process of "sacrament"! pours water into the font, although they could have done it earlier, they were supposedly waiting for us for a very long time! I don’t know, of course, how much time all this should actually take place, but the whole ritual took place for about 15 minutes. My daughter should have completely dipped her in fonts for six months, but we apparently had a special ritual of some kind, there was water on the bottom, the priest scooped up water a couple of times with his hand and poured water over her head. Of course, I understand that now there is tension with water in our city, but they could have found water for that kind of money to dip us, but I didn’t bring a 5-year-old child to him! In general, I am outraged and disappointed! The temple is certainly beautiful in appearance, but it doesn’t justify it, it was possible to baptize with the same success in another church and come to take a clean photo! In general, I do not know how this will help you, but so that you at least be aware of what is happening, I'm still in shock!
