Church of St. the spirit 1892. (UOC) For the first time the church was mentioned in 1692 At the end of the XIX century. Babichi (for Hungary - Babafalva) and Pokuttia (Kutkafalva), where there was a wooden church of the Descent of St. The spirit, built in 1779, merged into one village - Babic (Babakut). In 1733 the village priest was Vasily Deleggan. Church of St. Michael was wooden, with one bell. The present church is a typical stone basilica. In a rather uncertain tradition, the church was built for 30 years. The written agreement of 1937 between the community and Mukachevo master Ivan Hannovsky was preserved, after which the master had to repair the destroyed lightning tower. The iconostasis was made by Vasil Campo and Ivan Kenese in 1935, although in the records of I. Pavlyshyn this iconostasis stands as his work. In 1942, the church was renovated, and the surname D. Meshko appears in the employment contract. Near the church is a wooden single-tier frame rectangular in terms of a bell tower with carved columns at the entrance, carrying six bells. Three bells were cast at the Uzhhorod "Accord" factory in 1925, 1929 and 1937. The smallest was made in Chomut by Richard Herold in 1924. They say that the bells were always in a separate bell tower, and there was only one bell ringing for the deceased.
