Holy Assumption Church is located in the fortress. Her whole story is connected with the Assumption Monastery, built by the Prince of Wallachia Voivod Konstantin Brankovyan. The church in the monastery was founded in 1643 (diploma of the Patriarch of Constantinople Parthenius I).
