The second legend is rather dubious, as the village was known by this name long before Pesotsky appeared. On the outskirts of the village a settlement of VI-VII centuries was discovered, bronze objects of ancient Russian times were found. It is known that in the XVIII century the village was owned by Mr. Pesotsky. The house of the lord is preserved in the village, and in the center of the cemetery there is his (?) Grave with an ancient monument. The villagers suffered greatly from the Holodomor, deliberately organized by the Soviet authorities in 1932-33.
