The Peter and Paul Church in Irshava, Transcarpathia, was built in 1825 on the site where the wooden temple used to stand. At first it was a Greek Catholic church, but later it passed into the hands of Orthodox believers. Now Catholics go to worship again. In 1939, the temple was decorated with a bell weighing 900 kilograms. Recently, the church has been significantly renovated twice. In 1969, the artist Selivanov drew new wall paintings, the next time the church was repaired in 1997. The Temple of the High Apostles Peter and Paul is centrally located within walking distance of the train station.
