Wooden temples are not uncommon in Western Ukraine. And the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Vorokhta is one of the best examples of Hutsul architecture. The church was built without any nails in 1654 - 1657 in the village of Yablunytsia, and it was moved to Vorokhta in 1780. The interior of the church even contains ancient frescoes and paintings. Next to the church is a wooden bell tower, which now houses the museum. In 1979 the temple was restored.
