The church, which is almost 400 years old. Well preserved. It rises on the mountain from the foot of which the Way of the Cross begins

Very cool road up and even faster down (requires strong legs and powerful brakes). But to climb the mountain is definitely worth it! The architecture of the church itself was impressed, as well as the opportunity to communicate with the priest Michael. The first time I saw such a cross road. From the mountain there is a magnificent view of the city Zbarazh (there are 2 solar power stations on one hill)

If you come to Zbarazh, then this place and this church with the mark Must See. Once (at least the 15th) on this Chernecha mountain, there was a long monastery of the Basilian Fathers of St. Onuphrius. He, together with the first castle of Zbarazh (now the village of Stary Zbarazh), was destroyed by the Tatars in 1598. In 1600, the Bratslav voivod Ivan Zbarazsky built the Transfiguration Church, which is still there. Along with this, in our time, a "path to Calvary" was built - a procession to the mountain with chapels and stops near them. Power is good and strong in this place. I recommend to everyone!
