The beautiful ancient Church is located in the central part of the city, on the territory of the Castle Palace. It was here that False Dmitry I and Maryna Mniszek were married, which became the beginning of the births of the Polish kingdom of Vyshnivetsky and Mnishek. First it was the Orthodox Church, then the Catholic and now the Orthodox again. During the Russian occupation, the Church was somewhat changed, but not completely. From here there is a beautiful view of the Lake and the river Goryn.

The first mention of the Ascension Temple dates back to 1530. The church was built as a family tomb of the orthodox princely family of Vyshnevetsky. In her crypts have found their last refuge Raina Mogilyanka-Vyshnevetskaya, Mikhail Mikhailovich Vyshnevetsky, defenders and patrons of the Orthodox faith. Already, their son, Yarema-Michael Vyshnevetsky, in 1631 switched from the Orthodox faith to the Catholic one and began to promote the Catholic faith in his possessions. The church was rebuilt in 1872-1873, during the occupation of Volhynia by the Russians and at that time acquired architectural features that are not typical for Ukrainian temples. (a tent bell tower was added).

The poor building prevents you from admiring the exquisite palace

A fantastic landscape begins with the entrance to the park when you see church domes on the ground! The combination with the aristocratic Vishnevitsky palace the best!
