The church was built by Poles in 1883. In 1945 it was rebuilt into a church by Ukrainian settlers (Operation Vistula). The images and church paraphernalia were also transported to the temple by the Ukrainians. It currently functions on a permanent basis as a Greek Catholic church. There is a bell tower and Ukrainian and old Polish cemeteries.
