Architectural monument of local significance. It was built in 1898. One of the most beautiful buildings on Sadovaya street. Local, International and DHL Post services are available here.

The building was built specifically to combine all communication services (mail, telegraph) in one complex. The site for construction was chosen by a specially created commission for this. The first building in the Russian Empire, specially designed as a communications center. The post office was built by the architect V.F. Kharlamov invited from St. Petersburg, the author of a very similar building of the Isidorov Diocesan School, as well as the house of Suvorin. Elongated along the street, the Garden Building has a huge central hall, lit through a transparent roof. Until 1917, the post office worked from 8 to 20 hours, a free wardrobe operated for visitors, a doorman stood at the entrance. Each of the 26 operating windows of the central hall worked according to its schedule. The post office building was badly damaged during the Great Patriotic War, especially when the German invaders tried to blow it up before leaving Odessa in 1944. From 1945 to 1962, the post office was located on 12. Gogol Street. The project for the restoration of the post office building (architects Filshtein and Mezhibovsky) was approved in 1956, all work was completed in 1956-1962.

I have not used the services of UkrPoshta for a long time, but recently I had to send a registered letter and my choice fell on this branch. When I went inside, I was just taken aback, I never thought that the post office could look so amazing. Very reminded bank with movies about Harry Potter.
