A very adorable and beautiful temple, which is located in a wonderful village, I am glad that in spite of its status as a village, their temple will surpass some of the temples in Kiev in beauty and neatness, thanks to all those who care and take good care of the temple !! !!

Great atmosphere in the temple🙏

St. Michael's Church was built in 1894-96 at the expense of the peasants. It stands at a slight elevation near the main square of the village where the roads converge. Wooden, baptized, on a brick foundation. Has 12 log cabins (!) And five light tops. To the west there is a very high four-tiered bell tower of type "octagon on quadruple". The height of the bell tower is about 30 meters. The Lukashiv Church is one of the largest wooden temples in the Kyiv region. The length of the temple is over 36 (!) Meters. A real cathedral! The interior size of the temple is increased by the fact that the volumes of the classical planing cross (vestibule, middle cross, altar, side arms) have been added inter-sleeves, each of which has light tops. The main dome is located above the middle crosses, and the lateral tops are placed in the "Russian style" - in the corners of the building. Tops are tents decorated with hens. Each tent is completed by a decorative top. The central tent has a decorative hall in the form of a vertical octagon. Previously, tent tops were decorated with decorative arches, dismantled at the end of XX century. Much effort to preserve the temple is made by his current rector - Archpriest Pavel Lysenko. In the church is a huge iconostasis, made, as they say, for some cathedral temple. The iconostasis is so large that it was installed near the central volume, attaching the eastern volumes to the altar. The top tier of the iconostasis reaches the sails of the central dome. Church - a monument of local architecture №4-square. In 2017, the Bykov architect's workshop completed architectural measurements of the Lukashiv shrine.

The old temple, well renovated a few years ago. Quite an interesting place, but getting there is very problematic. There are no roads - there are only directions ...
