Illinska Church

Seven kilometers from the district center of Chyhyryn, Cherkasy region, is the village of Subbotov. In the 17th century it belonged to the Cossack centurion Mykhailo Khmelnytsky, and then to his son Bohdan. and was buried. Unfortunately, at present, the remains of the hetman have not been found. Next to the church are the remains of the Khmelnytsky palace. "itza" (measure). Not far from the church there is a wonderful cafe in ethno style where real Greeks with cheese are served. So after visiting the Church of St. Elijah, do not forget to go and taste the Greeks.

The place is just wonderful. The church is beautiful and full of special energy. Simple white walls look exquisite with old icons and a very beautiful iconostasis. There is simply an amazing icon of the Intercession of the Virgin, there is such an icon only in this church. And the floor is covered with a completely red fluffy carpet that contrasts with the white walls. In the Elias Church there is a famous icon of Jesus Christ in a crown of thorns, which before the war in the east. Ukraine bleed.

This is such a classic, but it was from this church in my time, in the future, that my dream came true. Visit all the places depicted on banknotes of all denominations :)
