The Church of the Intercession was built in 1850 by the project of Professor A. Ton A. Kharkov University. The church itself is located on the second floor. The first floor was occupied by the archives, the library, the difference of the monastery. The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin is a classic construction with strict architectural volumes, straight lines, cylindrical columns shaped by this style, topped by a heavy bulbous dome. In the center - the holy gate, the main entrance to the monastery. Above the church is a bell tower with 8 bells, with a clock tower built into the drum. After the closure of the monastery, the temple lost all its religious attributes and was first adapted to a hospital, and after the war, a gym and a library. In 1996, the monument was returned to the monastery. Restoration works were performed to reconstruct the bell tower. The interior of the temple is painted in the 21st century.

The face of the monastery is the Intercession Church with a bell tower (belfry). All those entering the monastery first saw the Intercession Church. And the entrance is through the Holy Gates (front door). Pay attention to the painting of these gates in the fresco technique. Frescoes of St. Sophia of Kiev and Novgorod, Macedonian Revival (IX-XIII centuries) were taken as samples. There are also stories from the history of the monastery. The project of the temple was developed in 1844 by the professor of architecture of Kharkov University Ton (the author of the project of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Kremlin Palace). Thanks to the help of the monastery from the Potemkin family, construction was completed already in 1850. The church itself is located on the 2nd floor, and the first floor is occupied by an archive, a library, a sacristy. Since 1922, the Soviet government has set up a mud bath in the church, and in the post-war period - a library with a reading room. And on October 1, 1996, the Intercession Church was returned to the Svyatogorsk Monastery.

During the closure of the monastery, the church lost its votive symbolism. The temple was adapted for hydropathic. After the war ended, the premises were converted into a fitness gym and library. 1996 for the Intercession Church was marked by its return to the possession of the monastery. The restoration of the bell tower and the painting of the temple were carried out.
